Spring is one of the busiest and most demanding periods of the Irish farming year. From fertiliser spreading to silage preparation, from planting to spraying, your machinery is working at full capacity — often in wet, challenging conditions. Getting your tyres right before the season starts is one of the most important preparations you can make.
Tractor Front Tyres
Check tread depth (minimum 15mm for field work), inspect sidewalls for cracking or damage, verify inflation against manufacturer specification, and ensure valve caps are fitted and undamaged.
Tractor Rear Tyres
Check tread depth (minimum 20mm for heavy field work), inspect sidewalls for damage from winter use, verify inflation is correct for the work ahead (lower for field work, higher for road), and check for embedded stones or debris in the tread.
Trailer Tyres
Check tread depth (minimum 10mm), inspect sidewalls for cracking (trailers are often left standing over winter), and verify inflation — trailers are frequently under-inflated and this is worth checking carefully.
Slurry Tanker Tyres
Check flotation tyres for correct inflation and sidewall condition. If standard tyres are fitted, consider upgrading to CEAT FLOATMAX FT for better soil protection during spring spreading.
Sprayer Tyres
Check all tyres including bogie axles, ensure correct inflation for the tank weight you’ll be running, and consider CEAT SPRAYMAX if your current tyres are showing wear.
Order Now, Not When You Need It
The worst time to discover you need new tyres is when you’re already in the middle of a busy day. Order your spring tyres now and get them fitted before the season starts.
